Welcome! I’m Bailey.
I’m a hiker and backpacker who gets a cheeseburger after every trip. I have two tiny team members I take along.
I started my parenting journey as a stay-at-home mom until I realized I didn’t really like to stay at home. So I slowly started taking my daughter out on hikes and adventures that escalated to backpacking into the pine-forested granite mountains surrounding lake Tahoe and taking multi-week van camping trips as a family in our self-built Ford Transit camper van.
Then we really took it up a notch and travelled full time in our camper van and some AirBnB’s for a few months before moving halfway around the world to New Zealand, where we’ve continued to travel and adventure together, while my husband works full time in an office.
With over a decade’s experience in the outdoors industry – as a trail guide leading groups of women on some of my most favorite and epic backpacking trips, to facilitating the best sleepaway camp memories for 7 year olds on Bass Lake, to volunteering on my county search and rescue team – I’m so grateful I can take all that knowledge, along with over 4 years of taking my own little ones out, and pass it on to you.
Cheers to family adventures, to continuing our beloved hobbies as we enter motherhood, and to not just casually existing, but making intentional choices about the kind of life we lead.
